Prayer for My Community

I live in Alton, Iowa, which is 3 miles east of Orange City. Would you please keep the entire community in your prayers? On Monday, September 1, 2025, at 4:58 A.M, the Granville, Iowa Fire Department responded to a 911 report of a residential fire that occurred at a residence two-and-a-half miles northwest of Granville. Upon arrival at the location, Granville Fire discovered the residence to be filled with heavy smoke. One person died at Orange City Area Health as a result of their injuries; the other three persons were flown to specialty units at other hospitals for further treatment of their injuries where two later died as a result of their injuries. The names of the three deceased are 17-year-old Ashton Koob, his younger sister, 16-year-old Bryleigh Koob, both of Granville, and 16-year-old Kolten Hofmeyer of Alton. A fourth victim, 16-year-old Luke Lancaster of Alton, remains in critical condition at a hospital burn unit in Minnesota. All four of the teens are students at M.O.C-Floyd Valley High School in Orange City.
