When our world stops, when the ground beneath us is shaking, when we’re overwhelmed, when evil seems to be winning, when God seems distant, what do we do? Where do we go?
We turn to God’s Word. We hold on to His promises. We choose to be still until our hearts are reassured that He is God.
Zephaniah 3:17 offers incredible encouragement during difficult times. One short verse reminds us where God is, who God is, and what He does for His children:
“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

God is with you! He rejoices and sings over you! You can call on Him anytime, anywhere, for anything. He delights in being your Father, your God, your Savior. The love God has for you will calm your heart, bringing peace and rest. Soak in the truth that the very God who created you delights in you and chooses to sing over you.
